General Sturnn
"To each of us falls a task, and all the Emperor requires of us Guardsmen is that we stand the line, and we die fighting. It's what we do best, we die standing."
General Sturnn is the commanding officer of the Cadian 412th Regiment of the Imperial Guard. He is assigned by Segmentum Command to locate and retrieve the Emperor Class Titan "Dominatus", lost deep in the ruins of the ice planet Lorn V.
General Sturnn and his troops, the 412th Cadian Regiment, are faced with a myriad of opposition, an Ork Waaagh!, Chaos forces, awakening Necrons, and the mysterious Eldar, during his quest to complete the assigned mission. During the battle, General Sturnn is secretly helped by the Eldar multiple times while the Orks and Chaos forces try to stop him.
Tactics
As General Sturnn has a higher amount of health than a normal Imperial General (1,740 compared to 435), he is a far more capable combatant. Thanks to this, he can be tossed into situations that would doom a normal Command Squad and survive, or perhaps even win. His large health value combined with a Priest's Righteous Fury, the health bonus from Uncommon Valor, and his Commander armor can make him quite an impressive damage sponge.
However, this is offset by the fact that the Imperial Guard has absolutely no melee units for a good portion of the campaign. This means that you will be relying on him to take the melee damage for your less-than-durable Guardsmen.
