Settlement
While other armies only construct a makeshift base that is not meant for anything other than war, da Orks construct a city wherever they go!
The headquarters for the Ork army. Able to produce several different units.
Note: The Ork Settlement only regenerates Hitpoints when not in combat.
Tactics
Almost all Ork buildings are capable of defending themselves, and if you are not prepared, attacking an Ork Settlement is a daunting task. Sheltering in this massive turret building is an option for early-game players who find themselves harassed by high-damage units such as a Howling Banshee Squad. Note, of course, that ranged specialists can be handled easily by your melee-based Orks, but always take precaution, just in case. Use Infiltrated Gretchins to "regenerate" health while in combat, and rest easy when the enemy is dead or gone, since the building can regenerate itself.
This is the largest base in the game, with the exception of the Necron's Dormant Monolith, and its Control Zone is the smallest (to limit the number of buildings that can be built so as to stop complaints that the Orks have Overpowered buildings), so watch where you construct your Boyz Hutz and Mek Shopz.
Pile O Gunz! and multiple Waaagh! Banners takes your Orks into Tier 2, with vehicles from Da Mek Shop and other special units, so the Orky Fort Tier 3 advance is relatively expensive compared to the others, requiring 170 70 for Pile O Gunz! and 1190 for the 7 Waaagh! Banners needed to get 70 for the upgrade. Get it as soon as you can, though, because the Shoota numbers are increased and its health is increased by almost 2 times its original, thus increasing the Settlement's durability and survivability, especially in "spare bases", constructed to make sure the player isn't annhilated after the death of a first base.
