Daemon Pit
A huge sacrificial circle enabling more powerful daemons of the warp to be called forth to aid the forces of Chaos.
Tactics
The Daemon Pit is all but essential to ensure a smashing victory for Chaos. Able to call forth the Obliterator Cults, Daemonic Ascension (when in Skirmish modes), Obliterator Teleport ability, and of course, the Bloodthirster. The building is suprisingly cheap to build, and doesn't take up much space either. However, it is not the toughest building ever made. A Necron Lord teleported into the heart of your base can do serious damage to the Daemon Pit if not dealt with directly, moreso if he transforms into the Nightbringer. The advantage to this, is that you are not limited to a single Daemon Pit, and with their quick build time and low cost, you can soon have many Pits scattered about your base. To reduce your vulnerable waiting time, use your many Pits to your advantage. One can have the first Pit summon the Obliterators, while a second performs the Teleporter research, a third performs Daemonic Ascension research and a fourth calls forth the Bloodthirster. In this way, you can attain the most powerful forces in your army in no time. It is often useful to have a few bolter turrets within reach of the Pit, to repel any sneaky infiltrated units, or teleporting commanders, and prevent the loss of this building.
