Raptor Aspiring Champion
"I feel the warp overtaking me... It is a good pain!"
Aspiring Champions are individuals who have offered their bodies and spirits to Chaos. Their lives are an endless series of battles, raids and quests. As they serve Chaos, they become increasingly changed through mutations granted by their Patron. Eventually, their road to power ends either in being reduced to a mindless and formless Chaos Spawn or raised to Daemonhood as an immortal and powerful Daemon Prince.
Tactics
The Raptor Aspiring Champion is one of the best choices for sacrificing to summon the Bloodthirster as his squad can be jumped into a good location for summoning and/or jumped out of combat until the Raptor Aspiring Champion is replaced.
If a Chaos player intends to make extended use of Cultists, Chaos Space Marines, or Raptors throughout Tier 2, Purge the Weak is a requirement. It grants an extra 125 hitpoints to every member of the squad as long as the Aspiring Champion is alive. It also makes the Aspiring Champion more durable than a Terminator. Coupled with the weapon upgrades available from the Chaos Armoury (not available to Cultist Aspiring Champions), the Aspiring Champion can dish out an incredible amount of damage as well.
