Mine Field
Luring enemies into trapped ground is no less effective in the 41st millennium than it is today. Mine Fields are the most common form of this subterfuge.
Tactics
Putting some Mine Fields down at choke points or contested locations can give you a significant edge against enemy infantry forces, particularly melee units. Airborne enemy troops aren't firing at you.
Placing mines around critical buildings when deep striking and jumping enemies are around can buy you critical time to get back and face the attack before your base is destroyed.
Mines are also an excellent way to prevent a Necron player from resurrecting his army. Placing mines on top of the Necron bodies or around a fallen Necron Lord will make for a rude awakening.
Abilities
Mine Field
There is no armor piercing value for monster armor of either grade, so the mines default to their min damage value.

Effects | Any enemy units that come within range of the Mine Field will be hit by a powerful explosion. Infantry will be sent flying (10-60 force) and even infiltrated units can be targeted. Every blast reduces the hitpoints of the Mine Field by 100. The Mine Field cannot be repaired. If the Mine Field's hitpoints are reduced to 0 due to exploding mines, the Mine Field is destroyed as if it had been shot by enemy fire. Damage printed is per hit. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
