Listening Post
From RelicWiki
A Listening Post, in a general sense, is any structure an army can build on a captured strategic point or relic. For most armies, the listening post is usually built to increase production of the vital requisition resource. Listening posts also act as sensors that extend the sight range of ordinary captured points, barriers that prevent enemy units from capturing your points (unless they are destroyed), and once upgraded, can act as a turret to support defending infantry. For Necrons, posts do not produce requisition, but building them are equally necessary due to the production time bonus they give, and to keep the enemy from acquiring the resource for themselves. All posts have defensive capabilities when fully upgraded, though some (such as the Chaos Listening Post) are more effective against infantry, while others (such as the Tau Listening Post) are very effective against buildings. Many races' posts have special abilities; for example for the Sisters of Battle use their Listening Posts to increase their maximum Faith, the Space Marines’ Listening Posts can build Skull Probes, and the Imperial Guard’s Listening Posts can be used as bunkers.
